1. Prefer

Hukuk İngilizcesinde “prefer” fiili, bir seçeneğin diğerine kıyasla daha çok tercih edildiğini ifade eder. Örneğin:

“The client prefers a settlement over litigation to avoid lengthy court proceedings.”
- (Müvekkil, uzun süren dava süreçlerinden kaçınmak için uzlaşmayı dava açmaya tercih eder.)

2. Would Prefer

“The defendant would prefer to enter into a plea bargain rather than proceed to trial.”

3. Would Rather

4. Preference

5. Inclined to

Hukuk İngilizcesinde “inclined to” ifadesi, bir tarafın belirli bir yönde tercih veya eğilim gösterdiğini belirtir:

- (Hakim, sunulan kanıtlara dayanarak talebi kabul etme eğilimindedir.)

6. Favorable

“Favorable” sıfatı, bir durumun ya da sonucun tercih edilir olduğunu ifade eder. Bu terim, genellikle yasal belgelerde ve mahkeme kararlarında kullanılır:

“The court issued a favorable ruling in favor of the plaintiff.”
- (Mahkeme, davacı lehine olumlu bir karar verdi.)
“The proposed agreement is seen as favorable by both parties.”
- (Önerilen anlaşma her iki tarafça da tercih edilebilir olarak görülmektedir.)
